This Privacy Policy describes how Speedeon Data LLC (“Speedeon,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) processes Personal Information in connection with our Data Products.  “Personal Information” refers to information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to you, and includes “personal data” or similar terms as defined in applicable law.  

Speedeon’s “Data Products” consist of Personal Information that we assemble and provide to our customers. As described in Section 2, Speedeon provides its Data Products to companies primarily for their marketing purposes.

1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the categories of Personal Information identified below. We “sell” or “share” (as such terms are defined in California law) each of these categories to our Data Products customers for their direct marketing purposes.

  • Professional or employment-related information
  • Inferences, including your personal interests, income, spending habits, vehicle and home ownership status, and occupation.
  • Sensitive Personal Information, including health, ethnicity, national origin, and religion. These are also considered protected classification characteristics under California law.

We collect Personal Information from third-party sources, including data brokers, and public records. Our third-party sources include other data brokers.

C. Purposes for Collecting Personal Information

  • To build our Data Products and provide them to Speedeon’s customers
  • To conduct analysis and develop and/or improve our Data Products
  • To monitor, protect, and maintain the security and integrity of our services and our business
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations and respond to lawful requests for information
  • To carry out sales and business transactions in which information held by us is among the assets transferred or is otherwise relevant to the evaluation, negotiation, or completion of the transaction
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, property and/or those of others
2. HOW WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose each category of your Personal Information to the following categories of recipients:

  • Data Products Customers. We disclose your Personal Information to customers that want to use your Personal Information to market their products and services to you. Our customers are in a variety of industries, including retail, financial services, healthcare, insurance, and telecommunications. We also sell our Data Products to marketing agencies, who use Personal Information to carry out advertising and marketing campaigns for their clients.
  • Service Providers. We disclose your Personal Information to vendors that provide business, professional, marketing, analytics, or technical support services to us, help us operate our business and the Services, or administer activities on our behalf. We require our service providers to use your Personal Information solely to provide services to Speedeon.

Depending on your U.S. state of residence, you may have certain rights in relation to your Personal Information in our Data Products, including:

  • Right to Know: You may have the right to know what Personal Information we have collected about you, including the categories of sources from which the Personal Information is collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing Personal Information, the categories of third parties to whom we disclose Personal Information, and the specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you. Please note that we may not be required to respond to your requests “to know” or access specific pieces of Personal Information more than twice in any 12-month period.
  • Right to Data Portability: You may have the right to access your Persona Information in a portable format.
  • Right to Delete: You may have the right to request that we delete Personal Information in our Data Products, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Correct: You may have the right to correct inaccurate Personal Information that we may maintain about you in our Data Products, subject to appropriate verification.
  • Right to Opt Out of Certain Types of Personal Information Uses and Disclosures: We use and disclose to third parties Personal Information for analytics and advertising purposes. Accordingly, you may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your Personal Information, or the use and disclosure of your Personal Information for “targeted advertising” (as these terms are defined in applicable law).

  • Right to Limit Use or Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information: You may have the right to request that we limit the use or disclosure of your Sensitive Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions.

Where permitted under applicable law, we may decline a request if we are unable to verify your identity (or an agent’s authority to make the request) and confirm the Personal Information we maintain relates to you.

B. Agent Requests

Depending on your U.S. state of residence, you may authorize someone to make a privacy rights request on your behalf (an authorized agent). Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may submit a request related to your Personal Information. You may also submit a request on behalf of your minor child.

Authorized agents will need to demonstrate that you’ve authorized them to act on your behalf. Speedeon retains the right to request confirmation directly from you confirming that the agent is authorized to make such a request, or to request additional information to confirm the agent’s identity.

D. Right to Appeal

4. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

We do not knowingly solicit or collect any Personal Information about individuals under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information about an individual under age 18, we will use reasonable efforts to remove such information from our Data Products.

5. DATA SECURITY

We have implemented physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to maintain the security, confidentiality, and integrity of your information. However, as no transmission of information over the internet is absolutely secure, we cannot guarantee the safety of your information.

6. DATA BROKER DISCLOSURE

The entity maintaining the website www.speedeondata.com is a data broker under Texas law. To conduct business in Texas, a data broker must register with the Texas Secretary of State (Texas SOS). Information about data broker registrants is available on the Texas SOS website.

7. DATA RETENTION

We will retain your Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our Data Products. We will retain and use your Personal Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
